Synopsis
Zezhu has lived a simple life in the countryside. One day, he meets a sick, deaf woman named Xiangshu. She has fled to his countryside in order not to be caught by the police, because she had stabbed a man who tried to violate her with a knife. Zezhu takes a good care of her and Xiangshu gets better. Since she moved into Zezhu’s house, the place has become full with love.
However, Zezhu gradually sees his dead mother in Xiangshu because his mother was also deaf. Zezhu begins to develop two distinct feelings. One is hate as he lost his arms due to his mother. The other is a longing as his mother was killed by a train because he didn' t tell her the train was coming.
As Zezhu and Xiangshu fall in love with each other, his inner demons overwhelm him. Finally he decides to end his life in the same manner as his mother.
Director's Note
Touch your soul!

All the human kind goes around their life tracks according to their original instinct. Ordinary life, parents love and love between men and women…all of these emotions are based on the original instinct.
Although original instinct of disabled people has been shaped and pretended to be different from ordinary people, it still contains some kind of sincerity of human beings. Disabled people can not even enjoy the least of what ordinary people enjoy. In some degree, they depart from the whole society and become the bottom layer of our society. Original instinct can easily showed unintentionally from these people. In this point of view, their soul can directly and effectively show us the instinct of the human kind.
This movie tells the audience a story of a young man without arms and a deaf girl. Both of them who have special background meet together accidentally and share their love day by day. We can find out the pure and original human instinct from the story of this movie.
