[If You Were Me: Anima Vision 2] is a feature-length omnibus animation comprised of 6 short films about human rights issues. Each short covers a variety of topics; “The Third Wish” (dir. ANN Dong-hee, RYU Jung-oo) is about visually impaired person; "Peeling" (dir. HONG Deok-pyo) deals with men’s complexes becoming great in society; "Baby" (dir. LEE Hong-soo, LEE Hong-min) talks about a working mother’s difficulty of bringing up a child; "Merry Golasmas" (dir. JUNG Min-young) brings out different types of widespread discrimination; "Shine Shine Shining" (dir. GWON Mi-jeong) speaks out about the issue related to migrant women by an international marriage; lastly, "Lies" (dir. PARK Yong-jae) deals with a homosexual who is pushed to marry a woman by his parents.
[If You Were Me: Anima Vision 2[ is an omnibus of animation films coordinated and produced by National Human Rights Commission of Korea in which 6 animation film directors participated under the theme of human rights.
Human Rights Animation was produced after the conclusion that a cultural approach is necessary to improve the human rights awareness in distinguishing between differences and discriminations as well as to point out the discrimination that is well spread out in today's society. The project is expected to contribute to the prevention of human rights infringement along with an improvement in many people's consciousness on discrimination issues.
