During go through 49-day period ritual for her mother’s death, Seon is told that her mother was actually a daughter of a shaman family reborns as her daughter 49 days after they died. Seon wants to prove that her mother's headache all her life was not caused by not serving sea god, but on the 49th day of mother’s death, Seon believes the superstition is real and disappears into the sea with her baby.

 

I wanted to express the situation arising from the difference of belief in superstition as immersive rhythm. And through the baby born at the end of the movie, I wanted to say that they face a world different from they believed before, so that their body did not even die but they began to live new life.
