Mom left home, again.

At least that’s what Hyeon-seo initially thought when her mom paid a sudden visit to her university house.

In a family, no one seems to truly get to know another. Likewise, a person may never get to completely trust another member of their family.

The film expands this allegory of mistrust through a series of conflicts in a family over the news that the mom, is in fact, an alien.
