Our Last Words, Live directed by CHOE Equan
Two guys air the video of them committing suicide to let the world realize their innocence.

A Tip for Cigarettes directed by NAM Da-jeung
A news reporter came to the park to cover the teenagers asking homeless people to buy them cigarettes. The reporter asks a favor to a smoker teenage girl, and she does not seem to reject.

Coin Boy directed by KWEON Jong-kwan
This film is led by a secondary school boy who collects coins in a huge glass jar. He collects coins while wishing his naive dreams to be true. However, he fails to get what he was hoping to buy, and he uses the coin jar as killing method.

Anxiety directed by LEE Song Hee-il
Desperate lives of a family who just lost jobs and 100 million won for stock market crash.

Saw directed by KIM Eun-kyung
Hardware store guy about to close the store after such a long day, but a woman just happens to enter the store and look for a saw.

Sitcom directed by YANG Hea-hoon
In a booth at the club, two men dressed in Indian costumes enjoy ‘the last supper’ as they planned. In the next booth, Moon Kyeong-mi, the blue-blooded girl is playing with action heroes. As everyone gather around behind stories and the wirepuller reveal.

The useless and useful day in the life of a homeless person, the fastest walker without even putting his feet on the ground.

Neo Liberal man directed by YOON Seong-ho
Gosiwon (low-priced apartment type building in Korea) manager Lim Kyeong-up wins lottery over a year in a row, arning 4,000 billion won. Tremendous amount of money that Lim just obtained starts to cause trouble.

Penny Lover directed by KIM Sung-ho
A woman in her 30’s receives a cent from her sex-partner who is younger than she is. After having to hear from him that he is seeing someone, she is going to end this relationship. What should she do with the cent given?

Hundred Nails and a Deer Antler directed by KIM Young-nam
To get paid in arrears, a female factory laborer visits a president of a factory which has been closed down for months. All of a sudden, their conversation starts to face where it didn’t intend to; the one who to get paid and another one who to pay humorously unveil an appealing present situation.
Director's Note
“SHOW ME THE MONEY” is directed by 10 aspiring young filmmakers who represent Korean Cinema and Korean Independent Cinema. With humor, sarcasm, and 10 minutes each at hand, they are to give an opportunity to unveil the portrait of Korean society which gravely concerns about money. Directed by 10 filmmakers “SHOW ME THE MONEY” is consists of 10 short episodes interlaced with money anecdotes that everyone might undergo at least once in their lives.


OVERVIEW
Since 2007, Jeonju International Film Festival, JIFF, has been supporting Korean Short films via this project named "Short! Short! Short!" For the celebration its 10th edition, JIFF 2009 invited 10 leading young filmmakers who represent Korea Independent Cinema and presented “Show Me the Money” in sharing of the same topic, "Money". The film consists of various genres, from horror to melodrama, and well describes diverse groups of people who are being intertwined with money.
In “Anxiety”, LEE SONG Hee-il sharply catches the moment of anxiety of a married couple who don't trust each other due to a debt from stock trading. In “Coin Boy”, KWEON Jong-kwan tells a story of a boy who collecting coins and his dream girl, and the story goes on to an unexpected, catastrophic conclusion. In “Penny Lover”, KIM Sung-ho follows emotional flows of a couple from the first meet to the last moment with setting coins in the center of the relationship. “Fastest Man in the World” is a black and white film and, ironical to the title, portrays the calm life of a homeless. The director, Chegy, is well-known for his experimental works.
There are a couple of episodes which full of satires, mockeries and humors. YOON Seong-ho criticizes on money and the current political situation of Korea in “Neo Liberal Man”, “Our Last Words, Live” of CHOE Equan and “Sitcom” of YANG Hea-hoon do the similar. “Saw” describes the fear of a man on the saw and the director, KIM Eun-kyung, follows the convention of horror genre in her episode. In “A Tip for Cigarettes”, NAM Da-jeung reveals the dark side of media through a filthy dealing in a situation involving in cost of a pack of cigarettes. last, in “Hundred Nails and a Deer Antler”, KIM Young-nam portrays a head to head battle between workers and an owner over delayed wages. With 10 episodes in total, “Show Me the Money” is a unique omnibus film of most talented directors.
