Director's Note

Born in 1939, Kim Jong-boon represents a portrait of mothers in our era. Japanese colonialism, Korean civil war, and the democratization process of Korean society are fully permeated in her life.

The second daughter, Kim Gwi-jeong, who drew a deep dive into the life of Kim Jong-boon. We would like to look into the life of Kim Jong-boon, not as the mother of patriotic martyr, but as a mother who lost daughter for 30 years.

30 years... Time for passing a generation and joining the next one. Tried to reflect on ‘our time’ through the 30 years of Kim Jong-boon.
