Synopsis

There live a senior couple who have shared their life for 78 years at the foot of Mountain Jiri at an altitude of 600m, at Dancheon village, Hwagae-myeon, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Husband takes care of all the house chores including clearing a bedpan for his wife with reduced mobility. On a day while they live happily together, wife passes away. Missing wife too much, he loses passion in everything. [From JIFF] 

Director's Note

Observe and record the daily life of the elderly couple aged 78 years. Through both of you, he throws a preaching message to the world: 'What is a married couple?' And 'What do married couples live with?'

Director's Bio / Filmography
- CHOI Jeong-woo

 

 Born in Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea in 1965. He majored Photography at Changshin University. Since 2005, he has made documentaries for broadcasting including his major work A Wise Answer To a Silly Question(2015). Butterfly(2018) is his feature-length documentary debut.
