Synopsis

Episode 2. Bong-gu on Delivery
On one hot and humid day, Bong-gu wakes up in a daze in the small room on the rooftop scattered with things. Aged 71, he is short of money and misses his family members who live overseas. So, every day, the old man unsuccessfully scratches on the lottery tickets. While making a living by doing package delivery work, Bong-gu accidentally sees Haeng-woon(Luck) who just missed the kindergarten bus. Bong-gu takes a bus that has nothing to do with his delivery in order to take the child to the kindergarten. However, the kindergarten where they arrived at was one that had recently been closed. Bong-gu is stumped and wonders what to do next. Then, he decides to take Haeng-woon with him in order to first make the delivery. Meanwhile, Haeng-woon's mother goes to the police to find her child. After watching the CCTV video which shows Bong-gu with Haeng-woon, she assumes that Bong-gu is a kidnapper. When Bong-gu stops by at a small store to grab a bite with Haeng-woon, he catches the breaking news about the search for a kidnapper. Bong-gu's day became a complete mess while trying to help out Haeng-woon who is like his grandson. Will Bong-gu, in fact, be able to clear himself of being falsely accused? The film unfolds the story of one 'lucky day' that came to the lonely old man by fate.

Director's Note

Episode 1. Dear Du-han
Through the friendship shared between two junior high students, I wanted to tell a story that could make people think about what 'disability' is and how to overcome it.

Episode 2. Bong-gu on Delivery
As we enter into an era with low fertility and rapidly aging population, the problems with the welfare of senior citizens have continuously been brought up. Although the government has introduced such plans as the Long Term Care Insurance, it is a fact that the senior citizens are still losing their footing in our society. The issues regarding the care for the senior citizens cannot be properly resolved without changing the fundamental perspectives about senior citizens. What is most problematic? What kind of deficiency in our society makes it most difficult for the senior citizens? Those are the questions I wanted to address.

Episode 3. Ice River
In Korea, the issue of serving in the military is a sensitive issue. The silent cry of the 'people who do not take up guns' continued on from when people refused to be drafted under the Japanese imperialism to the times after the establishment of the Republic of Korea. Also, the discrimination and violence against such people still continues. Their wish is to perform the national obligation in another way that does not involve holding a gun. However, they are still condemned by many preconceptions, misunderstandings, and ignorance. This is a story about a mother and her son who are standing on the ice river that seems like it will ever melt.
